Stella was born and raised in the little beautiful state of Sabah until she turns 17. After high school and national service, She moved to Kuala Lumpur for further studies.Hence, having her secondary education at S.M All Saints, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah '05, currently balancing her hectic lifestyle to her passion for fashion & modeling with an ongoing pursue for tertiary education at College Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur in the fields of Public Relations.“Nothing really stops this girl, really. “ The Author.
She was scouted by a modeling agency and trained for nearly 3 months. With the knowledge gained, she improves herself and learned new knowledge on every assignment thrown at her. She was crowned Miss Malaysia Earth 2007 as 2nd runner up representing Sabah and gotten the opportunity to be interviewed by FHM Magazine (One of the finest fashion/lifestyle magazine in the world and Malaysia) as the “Chili Padi Incoming Girl” at barely 19 years old. Soon, she did uncountable magazine shots, commercials, films, endorsements, fashion shows and the list goes on.

Recently, She was selected for Miss Tourism Queen International 2009 World Final beauty pageant under the Special Tourism Region for BORNEO (Sabah and Sarawak) in China for nearly a month (August 2009). Pageant winner has plans for future

THERE is definitely something sweet about Sino-Kadazan Stella Matilda, 22, from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
The young lass, who was crowned 2nd runner-up in the Miss Malaysia Earth 2007 pageant where she represented Sabah, is looking into developing more beautiful talents with her own agency some day.
Cut the stereotype: Matilda feels that the common misconception that those who take part in pageants are dumb should be changed.She was chosen as Miss Borneo Tourism Queen International 2009, and went on to compete in China for the Miss Tourism Queen International title in August.
The lass has been modelling for about four years and loves to travel and swim during her free time. She has visited Paris, London, Rome and Scotland and hopes to visit more European countries as she finds the culture exotic.
Stella is currently pursuing a diploma in public relations at Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman in Setapak.
“I am looking at opening the agency after my graduation.
“It will be a platform for girls who want to try their hand at events as well as modelling,” she said.
She also talked about the common misconception that models and beauty pageant contestants are dumb.
“It is very degrading and I hope people would change their mindsets,” she said.
What do you like about KL?
I like the entertainment, shopping malls and cinemas. There are a lot of clubs and concert being held here. We do not get many acts coming to perform in Kota Kinabalu.
What do you dislike about KL?
Of course, the traffic. I hope they would improve the transportation system and roads, which is really bad.
What’s your favourite food?
I like Japanese and Italian food.
What do you do to relax?
I like reading a lot. Right now I am reading about the history of Roman empire. I do think more people should adopt this habit as it expands our knowledge.
What’s your favourite place to hang out in KL?
I like Cineleisure Damansara but I love hanging out at Heritage Row too.
